Dar Col/o Bound Brook May 6/th 1777 I rec/d your's of the 3/d inst/t by the Hands of my Paymaster (M/r Kimmlei) & am astonish'd beyond measure, to find that, notwithstanding the repeated Hints our Superiors have rec'd, regarding the notorious omissions and Neglects, in certain Depart- ments in the Army, yet those Abuses are not redress'd — You mention in your Letter, you cannot get Blankets for the Men 'tis extremely hard.
