126 is a representation of a rhombohedron of Ice- land spar. At two opposite corners, A and A', the three 304 Physical Optics. [CHAP. XI. If now we take a moderately thick rhomb of Iceland spar and, laying it on a sheet of paper on which a black dot has been made, look through it, we shall see two dots.
