To quickly assess the difficulty of the text, read a short excerpt:

Zie bier de diagnose dier soort: N. Nilidus, pube- scens, pttnctatus niger, anlennis, squamulis, sculello, post sculello, abdomine el pedurn poslicorutn libiis larsisque fulvis; ore, pedibus anlerioribus et poslicorum trochanteribus flavis. 3
...Long. 14 mm.
Among the nearly unknown genera in the family Tryphonidae are doubtless to be counted Nolopygus and Prionopoda, both established in 1855 by Holm- gren and both comprising few species only. Those of the first named genus seem to be rather uncom- mon ; only one of them, Rufinus, has been described before Holmgren's Monograph, namely by Graven- horst, but merely in the male sex and in bis genus Mesoleplus; he knew two specimens, one of whom was caught near Gottingen, the other in the neigh- bourhood of Warmbrunn.
