To supply the packers with empty boxes overhead racks were used in some of the houses. They were suspended above the packing bins or over the sizing machines. (See fig. 8. ) If the racks are fitted with rollers similar to those of a gravity conveyor, the boxes may be placed on one end and are easily pushed to any position desired.
