21 Campaign Chairman. 196
...6 Feldman: My recollection is that I served as vice-chairman of the budget committee for '64 and '65. In 1965 I was asked to be the chairman of the campaign for 1966. I remember that I was told that that would require that I go on a small mission to Israel in the fall of '65. I also recall that I had responded that I had been in Israel in 1964, that I had promised my wife to take her to New England to see the change of colors in '65. At that time they had a very foolish policy in that they did not permit wives to travel on the missions with their husbands.
