Dennison, Judge Cartter, Judge Coombs, Hon. A. G. Riddle, Hon. R. W. Tayler, and Whitelaw Reid, Esq.
During the absence of the Committee, the Hon. John Hutchins spoke as follows : ]\Ir. President and Fellow-Citizens: I did not expect to be called upon to make any remarks on this occasion ; but I can say most decidedly, that I fully concur in every word which has been uttered by our distinguished Chairman in regard to Governor Biiotoii. My first impressions of Governor Bbouqii were derived when he was a Democratic politician on the stump.
