On motion of C. E. Palmer of Oakland, the report of the committee on resolutions was adopted as read. -1892- <;: C. C. Bush of Redding: Mr. Chairman, I would ask if a resolution is in order before this convention. ' The Chairman: Yes, sir. C. C. Bush: I will offer the following: Whereas, the subject of the higher education of business men is now re- ceiving increasing attention from the colleges and universities in this country, and, Whereas, it appears that the advice and assistance of practical men is de- sired in this movement, therefore, be it Resolved, that the president of this Association appoint a committee of three to confer on this subject, and report to this body at its next meeting as to what it may be able to do in the promotion of higher business education. In offering this resolution, Mr. President, I beg of you not to confine your- self to parliamentary law. I do not wish to be appointed on this committee, be- cause I am not able to follow up what is to be done. The object is to appoint a committee to see what can be done.
