Many children brought pictures, post cards, books, and Monmouth war relics. Others suggested trips to "Old Tennent Church, " "Molly Pitcher's Well, " the Episcopal Church, which was used as a hospital during the battle. So much material was collected that the question arose, "What can we do with these things?" and some one suggested we begin by making wall posters to decorate the history classroom.
