What reading level is Qst book?
To quickly assess the difficulty of the text, read a short excerpt:

Fortunately, the driven elements can be tuned to resonance by a short stub, and the main trans- mission line tapped across this stub at the proper point for impedance matching. There is, there- fore, no critical length for the driven elements in April 1955 such a system. Where two such 3-elenieiit bays are used a single stub can l)o used to resonate the entire system.
In curtain array's or with Yagis spaced a half wavelength apart, there is a bucking action of directors of one bay upon those of the other.
