In fliort, to prevent the Law- Proceedings from running into end- lefs Prolixity, like thofe in Chan- cery, and to prevent broken Tradef- men, Goal-birds, and Footmen, and Servants to Lawyers, from commenc- ing Lawyers and Attorneys, it is humbly propofed that the Law-Pro- ceedings be turned into Latin. Se- ondly, That the Defendant fhall be at [46] at Liberty to plead or avow two Mat- ters or Defences, and no more, to one Declaration.
