Yet, Sir, I have heard, on good authority, that, in one of the counties of the Com- monwealth, where numerous cases, after all the legal delays had been resorted to, were ready and ripe for judgment and sentence, the parties were not brought in or sent for, and, of course, could not be sentenced ; and those cases are ne- cessarily postponed to another criminal term of that county.
