Four- teen (14) of the modifications extended coverage to the employees in two hundred and four (204) school districts, twenty (20) cities and towns, and nine (9) other public agencies. This accounted for an additional 6,700 employees being covered under OASI. Eight (8) of the modifications changed the effective date of nine (9) agencies retroactively to an earlier effective date.
Modification number fourty-four (44) specifically changed the original Federal-State agreement so that a class of employees previously excluded could now be extended the coverage under OASI.
