ARTICLE lY. — Officers.
Section 1. The Officers of the Society shall consist of a President and nine Directors, who shall constiute a State Board of Agriculture — five of whom shall constitute a quorum. They may also appoint annually as Officers of the Board, a Chemist, a Botanist, a Geologist, a Metallurgist, a Meteorologist, a Zoologist and an Entomologist, and define the duties of each. They may appoint such Committees on the various departments of Agriculture, Mining and Manufactures, either generally, or for specific purposes, as they may deem important for the best interests of the State, and require such committees to report the result of their observations and investigations to the Board, at such times as may be named by them.
