" The committee are sure that the Indian name attached to this part of the town will always be cherished and perpetuated by those who know its history; — they therefore recommend that the name so long associated with the locality be legally applied to the street, and that the street extending from Dedha...m street across Green Lodge street to Milton line be called Packeen Street. Blue Hill Street. On September 23, 1726, this road was laid out two rods wide under the "western side of the Great Blue Hill, until it comes to Milton line, and meets with that way in Milton that lieth on the southerly side of the Great Blue Hill. " It was described by the committee of 1S40 as running " from the house of John Dav- enport by the Puller place. " It was at one time described as run- ning from " Royall's Corner" by "Puller's" to Milton.
