And as Elisha exclaimed, when he cast the salt from a new cruse into the bitter and barren-making waters of Jericho, ' Thus saith the Lord, I have healed these waters: there shall not be from thence any more death or barren land ; ' ^ so shall you then contribute to heal the bitter waters of this world, which have been made such through sin, and to change their bitter into sweet.
