Lime and sulfur applied to dormant trees for the San Jos6 scale has proved invaluable as a means of controlUng leaf spots, and in some cases it can undoubtedly be used to advantage for certain fungi, such, for example, as the Gkeosporium infection of the oak and sycamore.
