It was only his desire for revenge that had driven him onto that windy tower top, and it was only his hatred for the one who had continually escaped and frustrated him that had forced him to persevere. In the end, Samuel had satiated his thirst for revenge, but a void had taken its place. He had been exalted to the status of a Lord for his efforts.
