Calvin Foote, from 1842 to 1847. (See Southwick.) Rev. Henry B. Smith is a native of West- field, but his father removed to West Springfield, while he was still a child. He graduated at Am- herst College in 1843, studied theology at Andover, and was ordained July 22, 1847. He was dismissed November 4, 1861 . He is now pastor of the Church in Abington, Ct., where he was installed January 14, 1852.

For many years the Baptists and Congregationalists occupied the same house alternately. The CongregationaUsts had no settled pastor for many years.
