Those who were too lazy to pick greens went fishing. The fish could be boiled, baked, stewed, or fried; but, whichever way was chosen, the flavoring was always the same, pure Hassan river water. It took a connoisseur to decide which style of cooking had been adopted. Most of the people got their living in a way that may well be pronounced "scaly. " MAIL CARRIERS.
The contract for carrying the mail between Minneapolis and Hutchinson once a week was let this spring to Messrs.
