The red hemp-nettle (Galeopsis ladanum} is a smaller plant, less common. Its flowers are a mottled mixture of purple and crimson, SEPTEMBER. 201 growing in clusters of two or three. Its leaves are small and notched.
On this waste bank we may gather a few sprays of the fool's parsley (CEttmsa cynapittm}, a poisonous weed, often mistaken for the true parsley.
