Roads would be built to the minimum standard necessary to avoid unacceptable adverse impacts, and best meet current and future management needs and objectives. We would evaluate and use alternative transportation systems that do not require roads whenever possible.
2) Transportation planning would be conducted as part of landscape-level evaluations. An evaluation of existing and possible future transportation systems would be conducted prior to road location and design. These items would be considered: a) The relationship of access routes and road systems on adjacent sections (regardless of ownership).
