Release thmnbs, put them into the spaces by the little-fingers, and rest them on the near little-finger string.

Second, Bend each thumb over the lower near index string, and with its back pick up, from below, the lower far index string ; then bend each thumb over the upper near index string, and with its back pick up, 40 STRING FIGURES from below, the upper far index string ; next, bend each Uttle- finger over the upper near index string, and with its back pick up, from below, the lower near index string.
