Our High Schools should of course teach mathematical, physical and natural science and drawing among their general subjects. As those of their pupils who are to receive no higher education are chiefly to be engaged in farming, commerce, and navigation, the special technical subjects should be agriculture, navigation, and book-keeping and other commercial subjects. These subjects are already included in the courses of some of our High Schools.
