This is proven by the later colts or calves bearing the peculiar markings of the first sire. The question, therefore, might be suggested whether this same handing down of parental likeness to the children of a subsequent father might be possible ? Without any positive data on which to venture an opinion, it may, nevertheless, be suggested here as a circumstance to be considered in certain cases of affiliation.
