What reading level is The Agriculture of the United Provinces; An Introduction for the Use of Landholders And Officials book?
To quickly assess the difficulty of the text, read a short excerpt:

These are simple arrangements for lifting a jar of water and counterpoising the weight of the jar, and can be understood at a glance. For deeper wells, it is usual to raise the water in a leather bucket drawn by cattle walking down an inclined plane. For lifts over fifteen feet no cheap lift has yet been devised which can compete with this indigenous system. The inclined plane is worked on different methods in the east and the west of the provinces : in the west, two pairs of bullocks are used ...to each lift, one pair coming up to the well while the other pair raise the bucket ; while in the east, the work is done by a single pair. The western system (known as kilt) saves time, and is less severe on the bullocks which do not undergo a sud- den jerk as the empty bucket is returned to the well : the eastern system (lagor) involves less capital expenditure on bullocks, and is therefore more suited to the means of small cultivators.
The form of lift known as the Persian wheel is in com- mon use with wells in the extreme north and extreme south of the provinces, but is unknown in the intervening country.
