The values of salivaiy pH reported are probably somewhat hi^^ier than the actual values obtaining in the oral cavity, masmuch as in the method employed it was impossible to avoid a slight loss of COi during the determinations with concomitant increase in pH of from 0.0^ to 0.15 pH.
