The only large collection to be cataloged is that of the Superintendent of Public Instruction, of which there are 487 boxes and volumes. Under the sponsorship of the Genealogical Society of Utah, Salt Lake City, there have been alphabetized, checked, and sent to Salt Lake City for copying, the marriage bonds of the following counties: Burke, Caswell, Chowan, Franklin, Gates, Haywood, Hyde, N.
