One hundred and twenty-two ob- jectors found not to be sincere were recommended for and assigned to combatant service.^^ The sorest spot in the whole question of the conscientious objectors is presented by the cases of the 450 objectors who were court-martialed for their behavior and sentenced to terms of imprisonment in the disciplinary barracks at Fort Leaven- worth.
