His resources and limitations in mental adaptation will deter- mine in a large measure, the specific line of management. The military situation is most striking but the problem which life in general presents to the individual and the type of adaptation which he has found serviceable in other emergencies are of as much importance as the specific causes for failure in the existing situation.
