) I object to the order and regularity of the pro- ceeding in the Presbytery, in any and every action taken against me since the dismissal of the said Charges on November 4th, 1891. " Against this refusal of the Presbytery complaint is made for the following reasons : 1. 2. The proceeding in the Presbytery was illegal in that the Presbytery reopened the case with Amended Charges, while the right of the Committee aforesaid to act as a Committee of Prosecution was challenged be- fore the Synod of New York by a complaint signed by more than one-third of the Presbytery ; this complaint being, at the time of the action now complained of, not yet determined by the Synod.
