What reading level is The Cathedral Church of Exeter: a Description of Its Fabric And a Brief ... book?
To quickly assess the difficulty of the text, read a short excerpt:

The bosses in the eastern bay, with the evangelists* emblems and head of Christ, should be noticed.
The elaborate fourteenth century reredos is the work of Gran- disson. The central niche contained a figure of the Virgin, before which a lamp was suspended. The sedilia and double piscina on the south side are interesting.
The Lady Chapel contains several monumental tombs of interest. Beneath the arches conducting to the side chantries are the effigies of Bishops Bronscombe and Stafford. There is
... a similarity between the two monuments, due to the fact that the canopies are of the same date and decorated in the same manner.
Bronscombe's Tomb. — That on the south side is Bishop Bronscombe's,and was probably in the Gabriel Chapel originally.
The lion upon which the bishop is treading is a clever bit of sculpture, and though the angels at the feet are more curious than beautiful, they have certain merit, and are more successful than the canopy which is of the same date. The colouring on the effigy must have been uncommonly splendid, and even the remnants of the patterns have not faded out of all beauty.
