This has a wide rim engraved with a legend and cross, and with a hollow moulding at the edge, it has circular and sixfoil depressions, the spandrils of which are engraved.

Chalice. Parcel-gilt.
The bowl is plain and bell-shaped, it rests in a calix of pierced and chased scrolls and medallions, bearing sacred emblems, the knop is formed as a vase and REDHILL. WARBLINGTON. I 85 decorated by leafage encl...osing three medallions, between this and the foot there is a beaded disc, the spread of the foot is decorated in a similar manner to the calix and has a flat edge.
Height, 7 y^ ins. Weight, 1 1 ozs. 1 7 dwts.
This Chalice is of Augsburg make and probably eighteenth century work, it bears T V as a maker's mark.
Inscription, on the knop : " lo SIG Fr V. S. C 3 V Dedit 1790. " Also, round the foot : " St. John's Church, Redhill. An humble oblation, " etc.
Paten. Silver-gilt.
Plain, with a narrow rim.
