And it appears highly probable, from such observations as those now recorded, that terrestrial magnetism exerts this action upon cloud forms. We have to account for the fact of an ordinary lunar halo rapidly changing its form under the influence of magnetic waves : that is, if we are justified in regarding the auroral currents as the result of magnetic action.
