The firft time he reftrained them to the peninfula, by drawing the red line through the ifthmus of Shegnikto : by the fecond caitration he reduces the Englijb pretentions to little more than one half of the peninfu...la; by drawing the partition line from Shedabuktu or Mi I ford, through the country fouthward ol Minas bay, to the north weft coaft. But, as thefe alterations are marked by pricked lines, and the firft pricked line is not erafed, who knows but they are miftakes in the colouring ? or if not, that on the better information, Mr. D % Anville may reftore to Englijh, by a third ftroke of the pencil, fo much as he has deprived them of by the two firft, if not to all Neva Scotia, or the counw fouth of [ 49 ] of St.
