Those gentlemen in Washington who are soon to consider the modified uses of our army and navy may well consider the problem of the perma- nent pacification of Mexico, and her alignment with those policies to which the United States stands committed for her own safety and the welfare of the world. There will never be a better time to raise this issue and settle it permanently than just now.
America must have her share in the coming league of nations that is to guarantee the peace of the world.
