With regard to Herbart's ideas of Things themselves and to the idea of Being, as a kind of fixing, it is easier to agree with him, and Kant had already established the same, but when he argues that the Eeal does not lie in the thing thought of, but in the thinking, he places Thinking and Being in irreconcilable hostility.
