...003 4 were worse; they were composed of crystals easily detached, and consisted of long dendritic " trees " which interfered with the operation of stirrers and tended to short-circuit the current. Their surfaces were dull and became dark on exposure to the atmosphere. The chemical analyses show that they contain much arsenic and antimony. Deposit no. 4, series A, was good, solid, bright, and absent of " trees, " but consisted of a few small nodular crystals which scattered over the surface. It contained a very small amount of arsenic and antimony.
