With the other imbedding materials of which we have spoken, this cleaning of the sections is very troublesome and difficult, and liable to result in injury to the specimens.
4. Cutting Sections.
When the imbedding block is cold pare away the edges and then gradually slice it away until the edge of the area opaca appears. The sections must then be made more carefully, and each one ex- amined till the actual body of the embryo is arrived at.
