REGULATIONS RELATING TO THE COLLEC^HON OF DUTIES ON SUGAR.
In conformity to an act of Congress, entitled, " An act to provide internal revenue to support the Government and to pay interest on the public debt, " approved July 1, 1862, and to an act entitled, " An act to impose an additional duty ^on sugars produced in the United States, " aj)proved July 16, 1862, the following regulations are hereby established in relation to the duties imposed upo...n sugars in the said acts : 1. The duties imposed by said acts upon brown. Muscovado, or • clarified sugars, produced directly from the sugar-cane, and not man- ufactured for consumption in the family of the producer, and which were in the hands of the producer or manufacturer thereof, or his agent or factor, on the 16th day of July last, or which have been or may be manufactured subsequently to said 16th day of July, and previous to the first day of October next, shall be due and payable on the first day of November next.
