Altho...ugh this edition contains a Discours more than that COMPLETE WORKS. 437 published by Ginguene, it is however, by no means so valuabls as the followiiig : — Les Memes, recueillies et publiees avec line notice historiqiie sur la vie et les ecrits de I'auteur, par P. R. Ang-uis. Paris, Chaumerot jeuiie. 1824-25, 5 vols. 8vo.
This edition, the most complete of Chamfort's works, besides those which found a place in the former editions, contain^j many that had never appeared with his name ; also his Notes to the fables of La Fontaine, and under the title of Melanges de Litterature et d'Histoire, the articles he furnished to the Mercure.
