"All grace flows from Christ united to the soul, as all life flows from the soul united to the body." This jinion between Christ and believers shall never be broken. It is in perpetuity as to all its blessed consequences.
From all that has been said, it is very evident that there is no merit in our believing, though by believing we become interested in the merits of Christ. If faith itself, the act of believing, were the ground of our acceptance, it would certainly be works, even the work of faith.
