What reading level is The History of Methodism in Missouri for a Decade of Years From 1860 to 1870 book?
To quickly assess the difficulty of the text, read a short excerpt:

A. McReady, who had been transferred from the Pittsburg Conference by request, made through Gen. C. B. Fisk. This organization, in its initial, was conceived by a few per- sons who, under stress of danger in war times, had abandoned our Church. They doubtless supposed, as did many others then, that the M. E. Church, South, would never again have an exist- ence in this country. Two of our ministers had tried to supply the pastorate here made vacant by the death of Brother Caples, but were compel...led to leave in a very short time one, the ven- erable Andrew Monroe; the other, II. A. Bourland. The mem- bership were therefore deprived of both their houses of worship and their pastor, and were living daily in constant apprehension of greater evils yet to come. It was currently talked that the Southern Methodist Church would, in the main, be absorbed by the Northern Methodist Church, and the remnant be dispersed among other denominations. To begin such a work here then seemed, therefore, to be but anticipating the inevitable tendency of events.
