B. Storms, Clerk. As in the case of Upper Nyack, these gentlemen only held office till the annual election, March 19th, 1873. At that time, D. D. Demarest was re-elected by 367 votes as against 38 for T. Blanch Smith, and 8 scattering ; William H. H. Purdy was elected a Trustee in place of Charles E. Hunter ; and J. De Baun, Collector, in place of Isaac W. Can- field.
