14 In conclusion I remark in the first place, that there is an intimate connexion between a godly life and such a precious death. —-The religious appearances in the chamber of sickness are not always a satisfactory index of the character of the dying, or of their future prospects. — In some cases, where but little if any attention has been devoted to the service of Christ, during life ; — yes, even where the soul has rested in error and delusion, there may be at death indications of confidence, and professions of peace.
