This opportunity may be taken of acknowledging in the warmest manner the way in which, throughout Photo] ExKTKu Hall [Keliher, London Opened as the headquarters of the Yoiinpr Men's Christian Association on March 21>, ISSl THE YEARS OP PROGHESS 225 his career as a Christian philanthropist, Greoi*gfe Wil- liams was 8uppoli:ed by a noble band of meti whos^ generosity, whose business abi
...lity, and whose whole* hearted co-operation were of incalculable service td the Association he founded. The Young Men's Chris- tian Association, as it exists to-day, was not the work of one man, but of a splendid and devoted company. Let this, how- ever, be a passing tribute to the " men who helped," to the men, indeed, who have made the Association possible in its present form and have worked so im- tiringly and with so much self-sacrifice for the honour of the cause, some of whom will, in the days to come, lead it to still more glorious conquests.
