With this view, as the wi- sest and most effectual mode of giving pub- licity to his sentiments, he addressed to his clergy a very excellent letter, containing, in a short compass, a plain, temperate, and ju- dicious exposition of the advantages of Suiir 72 I-IFE o* day Schools, and of the rules by which they should be conducted.
