Two twin brothers of the Shawnee tribe, Tecumthe, the Croitching Panther, and 01-li- w^a-chi-ca, the Open Door, generally known as the Prophet, commenced a series of artful and daring intrigues among the Indians on our north-western frontier, which finally involved them in a war with our country, destined to re- sult in the expulsion of many of these warlike tribes from all their old and favourite hunting- grounds.
