Of the original of this letter.
Q. Now did you bring the original of that letter to any body before you returned it to the prisoner? A. I carried it back from Mr. Hamilton to the prisoner, and did not shew it to any person in the mean time.
Q. "WTio put the copy into the Post-office ? A. I don't know — it w^as written in the presence of the prisoner, and sent to the Post- office.

All that I put in were by his directions, but I cannot identify them.
