Permit me to say I have used Antiphlogistine for six months in all cases of Pneumonia, Pleurisy, Peritonitis, Deep and Superficial Inflammations, Herpes Zoster, and Tubercular Inflammation of Knee and Ankle Joints. Never have I found in a practice of 18 years anything which gives, even approxi- mately, equal results. In gouty swellings of the big toe joints it is almost a specific. I am not unduly enthusiastic. I have simply succeeded with it, and promptly, where before I have failed to obtain ...satisfactory results with other remedies. I hope you will push this to its fullest extent, as you have a prepara- tion of great merit. If this statement is of any value you are at liberty to use it with the profession only.

Prof. H. T. Webster, M. D., of San Francisco, in a re- cent publication, discusses cHronic gastritis and its treatment.
After a careful resume of the etiology and pathology of the af- fection, and an enumeration of the symptoms attending it, he says, in speaking of the diagnosis : "The use of the stomach-tube will afford the best means of diagnosis.
