Well, to be brief for just once in my life, things worked out as I planned ; that is, they worked out to an extent, as I planned. The next Sunday evening found Mr. Morse and me at the Congregational church on East Broad street. I had ascertained in advance, by the help of Mr. Durbin, that Mr. Ned and Miss Garland would worship on that particular evening at that particular church.
